Wow, it's great to see Mirissa has so much to offer. We were there for a week in 2018, and it was too quiet.
Also, one day, I believe I was close to dying due to the tide taking me back to the ocean... I was lucky I had the board, and at some point, somehow I managed to escape the tide and swim back to the shore. Nobody heard me yelling for help, I was so far away.... thank God for saving me that day.... so be careful guys with waves and tides!

I’ve watched more than a few vloggers in Sri Lanka and it’s absolutely beautiful there. Watching them had made me want to visit Sri Lanka for sure. I’m not sold on India because it’s hugely overpopulated, but I’m sure India has a few nice places.

Dear Sri Lankan Restaurent and hotel owners, please do not exploit your customers like this. Food and room prices are very high compared to the region. You will loose your customers if this situation continues. Remember they have multiple options. Do not cover your arrears from your customers. Really sad.

Welcome to Sri Lanka. You went only for the touristic places. You can find best from locals food courts and restaurants. There are many beaches that not much rush and clean. $900/m quite expensive. you can find better places with the internet up to 300mbps for just $150-$450 range.

Lol for everyone commenting that it’s expensive, if you knew the prices of rent electricity and internet here you would see that it’s actually not that expensive! Especially when you have couples that have their ac on 24/7… it’s so easy to come to SL and want cheap things when you don’t really know how much it costs to run these businesses and then Sri Lankans are barely making enough money to survive…
