I went to Japan two years after this movie was released. I can say with confidence that the feeling Tokyo Drift gives was very similar to the reality at the time.

It might just be that I'm in a low point in my life right now, but I look back on the early 2000s with great fondness and nostalgia. The cars, the clothes, the communities. All things I wish I could throw myself back into.
