In this video tutorial, we will walk you through the steps of setting up a loading indicator using FlutterFlow. When your app is loading data or making network requests, a loading indicator provides a visual cue to the user that the system is working, not broken or devoid of data.

We will start by demonstrating how to adjust the size and color of the indicator, before moving on to exploring the different animation options available via the Flutter Spin Kit package.

Next, we take a deep dive into the UI builder to bind a back-end query to a dummy API. From there, we discuss the options for back-end loading widgets including the project theme loading indicator, custom loading indicator, components, and images.

--------------

FlutterFlow is a low-code builder for native apps, bringing design and development into one tool. With drag-and-drop functionality, you can build pixel-perfect UIs and easily connect your app to live data via Firebase or APIs. Plus, you can add advanced features like push notifications, payments, animations, and more. Whether you build your own custom widgets or write custom code, FlutterFlow makes it easy to bring your app ideas to life.

Great video! One suggestion is a blank option. Sometimes, I don't want a loading.

Great video! Another cool thing you can do if loading takes a lot of time to have tips while the content is loading, just like FF have when you load the Test/Run mode

I want to show a loading indicator, while waiting for user to confirm his email address, lets say UI is showing a text with a loading indicator, like "Waiting for email confirmation ( loading )" ... so this widget is not available in FlutterFlow designs list. I can see only progressbar widget, inclusion of this widget would be helpful.

Is there any way to do this if I make the network request as part of an action trigger as opposed to when the widget loads?

So I have actions tied to when a dropdown choice is made ... the first step sets an application state variable and the second executes the backend API call ... the busy indicator does not show ... how do I make this show when the API is called from a step or series of steps ?
THANKS!

I noticed that if u try to upload files from the device and then hit cancel, the loading indicator would keep spinning.

When adding a backend query from the action flow editor you cant add a loading indicator, that has no sense, there is no way to add a loading indicator from the action flow diagram...
