Did anyone else notice the odd moment around the 20-30 second mark where number 28 of Montreal accidentally gets an Islander stick caught in his elbow, and skates away with it, notices it, then carefully hands it back to the Islander player? That was either a moment of great sportsmanship, or mistaken identity.

Niemi has been solid !! I think the Habs are the real deal ! Young! Speedy! Chemistry ! Talented ! And the dressing room has good moods and positivity

There should be no surprise with the Isles this year because of you knew what they gained as to what they lost in the off season, then you know they were going to be an entirely different team.

Tavares is one of the most overrated players in the league.

Montreal on paper was picked to do nothing this year same as the Las Vegas Golden Knights to start the season last year & we all know what they achieved last year. I'm a Leaf fan & Austin Matthews is out 4-6 weeks but we're still winning, we got a very strong farm team & won the Calder Cup last year with the Toronto Marlies. Can't wait till Toronto & Montreal play each other next, most Toronto fans can't stand Montreal & vice-versa but i don't hate Montreal i totally respect them as a franchise with 24 Stanley Cups for the most Cups in the league & Toronto still sits 2nd in the league with 13 Cups with the last Cup win in 1967 which was the last year for the original six before expansion then Detroit with 11 Cups & so on, a team i can't stand is Detroit because i live in Windsor which is across the river from Detroit & ever since they won their first Cup in 1997 after 42 years they started calling Detroit hockey town which is a joke because before they won the Cup in 1997 & the 1980's & early 1990's the building was empty & now that their doing crappy again the new building is empty again, TSN actually reported on attendance in Detroit & they had to paint the seats black so when the games are on TV you can't really tell how empty the arena is but yet it's a hockey town lol, a true hockey town is when the fans go to the games win or lose like Toronto fans in the horrible 1980's when Toronto was horrible & the mid 2000's when they missed the playoffs for a decade but they still were selling out & the Toronto Marlies during their Calder Cup run were packing in the Richo Coleseium on their way to a Calder Cup Championship which was great for the city of Toronto & especially the die-hard Maple Leaf Fans where we got a taste of what it would be like to win the Stanley Cup, TSN was broadcasting the Marlies & the city got behind the Marlies. The Marlies uniforms look just like the Maple Leafs even the logo on their front jersey. Marlies star goaltender Garrett Sparks won AHL goalie of the year award & is now the Maple Leafs back up tender letting go of Curtin McCelleny who i was a big fan of, he is the best back up tender in the NHL imo but the Leafs put him on waivers & was picked up by the Carolina Hurricanes as the Leafs wanted to give Sparks some NHL experience as he's 25 years old now which is around the age goaltenders come into the NHL or a bit earlier, goaltenders take longer to break into the NHL unless your Patrick Roy or Felix Potvin who both came in their rookie year & took over the starting position, Patrick Roy won the Stanley Cup & Felix Potvin went to game 7 in the semi-finals vs the L.A. Kings & Wayne Gretzky, it could have been a Toronto vs Montreal Stanley Cup Final which would have been amazing but Montreal won the Cup that year in 1993 making it the last Canadian Team to win a Stanley Cup :-/ LEAFS GO~~

Habs have surprised so far but soon this team of little rats like Domi, Shaw and Gallagher will be in the position for a decent lottery pick
