This is what the formation Guardiola used in the UCL final same tactics, same everything but no Rodri or Fernandinho. His reasoning was to have control over the ball (justification for Gundogan's inclusion)...in Guardiola's own words "you're a genius when you win; you're a failure if you lose" ...We've always known how great Guardiola has been for us and he has never won by accident. It amazes me that he gets accused for overthinking when that same 'overthinking' is the reason why he's so tactically astute.

Pep really had our number today. I think the James injury/Silva sub limited Tuchel’s ability to change the tactics too much when it felt like something different was needed from Chelsea. Good job to City 👍

It was brilliant move from Pep's city to press and ping u back. Tuchel's plan was slightly affected with the injuries too. I think Tuchel was expecting counter attack from Pep. Also, some Chelsea players also having an off day doesn't help either. Aggressiveness at the middle wasn't enough and we can't find strikers consistently. Even when we got the ball to them, we're outnumbered, didn't move the unit up high to support and lost the ball easily. Tuchel's tweak is good but in this high level game whichever side conceded first it will always be hard to win the game back. Well done Pep and city.

Bernardo Silva was the low key best player for City, he was unrelenting.

Loftus cheek really changed the flow of the game in the back end. He really injected some creativity and spine into Chelsea when going foward

This just shows how brilliant and innovative Pep and Tuchel are, they never stick to exactly one system over long periods of time. That said, will you guys do one showing what's wrong at Man Utd? We fans are running out of patience with the drab we saw and starting to get confused what the actual game plan is, it just looks as though they're just thrown onto the pitch and asked to wing it.
