More RAM does not use more power. In fact more RAM can improve battery life by caching apps therefore negating the need to re load apps from storage.

My mom just got this and she loves it. It's a real great option for non hardcore tech users. It's gonna be her iPad from now till 7-10 years knowing her use. It's perfect for her British movies.

I had it for about a month. Sold it to offset the cost of the 10.5 Pro. I felt it was a solid upgrade from the Air 1. It's really hard to go back to mono speakers, but the performance itself isn't that much different than my 2015 12.9 Pro and my 2017 10.5 Pro. They are all very similar at this point for how I use my tablets. If you don't have 800 to throw at a new tablet, you'll do just fine with this model. It's a very solid tablet.

I bought it coming from iPad 2. Loving it Nick! It's a budget iPad i guess your negative points may be applicable to some. So far it's worth for the price. I got got an iPhone SE alongside this iPad so yeah happy and not going back to Android any time soon.

I bought this for my wife, who was still rocking an iPad 2. For most people upgrading from older hardware, this is an amazing device. I have the 10.5 iPad Pro and the speed difference is hardly noticeable day to day, although I imagine 2 or 3 years down the line, that 2GB Vs 4GB of RAM is going to make a difference. Regardless, for reading, browsing, watching video and gaming, this thing is fantastic. 128GB of storage for an extra $100 is well worth it too.

This is the best value for money iPad if you are not an artist or a media professional. For me it can replace a laptop. I'be been using it for almost three months now and I'm really impressed by the speed of it. Pure power with no fanfares. For internet research, writing text, making presentations and many more it can really replace a laptop.

I got this iPad in Silver on the 4th of July and I absolutely love this tablet! I have a 64gb SE so I figured I'd be okay for now with a 32gb iPad 2017
