For anyone wondering why he did not take R as 12 is because the potential difference (V) of 12 ohm resistor is not 9 volts ( As the potential difference gets divided in series connection)
9 volts given in question is the potential difference of the whole circuit

Hope it cleared the doubt

Sir I am watching your videos from 9th class I don't go coaching in 9th and now also😅 because I believe in self study when I am in tension because of physics and I am not finding proper videos to do numericals but when I see your playlist that time I don't know how teachers in vedantu teaches but when I started I can't believe that I was able to solve numericals of physics and I scored 75 marks out of 80 in annual exam in 9th because of you only so thankyou much Abhishek sir 😊🎉❤

In ques 7 if we will calculate resistance then in every case it's different but he is saying that it's same when we divide 1.6/0.5 ans is 3.2 but in second case it's 3.4 but resistance is constant then how it's different pls tell
