Warning! Lots of spoilers for Act 6!

So we're finally here! I've seen many people asking for a Loop song, so here it is! In my playthrough I regrettably did not go through Act 6 and Two Hats myself, so I figured I'd try to do it justice within this song. I've hidden a lot of little references to the game itself, which I'm pretty proud of as well! Hope you guys like it! :)

Envy of one trapped in their own ways, so convinced there was no way forward, no way out. Broken by the cycle, only to see themselves overcome it from an outside perspective after giving up. A star was born, time lost, but time moves forward to the dismay of two.

This game takes "be careful what you wish for" a bit far

The thing is, a couple of things need to work for all wishes to come true: you go back in time and not to a different timeline (otherwise you'd be losing your party), loop needs to go back to their original timeline (their original wish is also tostay woth their party), the universe got them out of the loop by showing another Siffrin leave, and the King will become frozen in whatever loop is the last such that he can remember the northern island. So despite Loop's anger and plan to take our place, it simply never could have happened for all wishes to come true. It also explains why Loop can still loop even after our wish is fulfilled: they NEED to go back to their universe so they can reunite with their party.

I LOVE how the voice at the end of "meant to be" stays and sounds like a lament... it fits so well the context

OHHHH THIS IS SOOO GOOD. loop is such a deeply tragic character and while the fake whimsy is a very important aspect of their character the sheer RAGE is also important and i'm SO happy with how it's presented here. you can FEEL the desperation in the lyrics and the composition it's UNREAL.... REALLY gives that vibe of the character that's on their last ropes!! much like when you lose against loop in the fight as well, the chorus to me felt like they were convincing themself more than they were convincing siffrin. oooougghh. loop. character of all time

Loop existence brings me to tears. How stunningly you captured the moment from two hats ending here, in these lyrics, in emotions in your voice. From longing in "soak in the presence of love so strong" to almost solemn "bathe in the cherished nest of your memory." Their strained voice before the chorus and a full breakdown afterwards are very... painful. But good. 

The Universe definitely was amused at their struggles... And you seized this opportunity to write about it! Thank you once again for your creativity!! Your voice brought me to tears with this one. 😭

Here’s my guess on what this character’s gig is based on this song and some other things:

idk what it even is, i know it’s named Loop from the time you bought it’s plushie.

that one line in “i should’ve known” saying “something so much better left unsaid” along with the name, basically means that loop’s been Gastered by that ruler, maybe intentionally, and probably stuck in a loop along with or just like Siffren


Disregard almost everything i said, i think it’s someone who wishes to “take the stage” and is forced to be a side character
