Elohim City: 20 years after the Oklahoma City bombing

Twenty years ago, the media was crawling all over Elohim City, as
suspicions about links to the Oklahoma City bombing and ties to the
bomber Timothy McVeigh were alleged. Federal authorities never confirmed any connections. The 400-acre secluded enclave has housed several extremists in the white supremacist movement, including James Ellison. Ellison is the former leader of the Covenant, the Sword and the Arm of the Lord, a white supremacist paramilitary encampment near the Missouri-Arkansas border that was raided by federal authorities in 1985. Ellison settled at Elohim City after serving several years in prison for weapons offenses and racketeering. Now in his mid-70s, Ellison has been at Elohim City for two decades.

I grew up in Stilwell, OK which is where this place is. You hit a dirt road for about 20 minutes deep into the woods & come up on these creepy fenced in dome houses like you see in this video. People just stand there and watch you, guns in hand, you don't mess with them they won't mess with you, just keep driving. Also there's no other reason to be in that road unless you're going there, one way in one way out. So they know when people are creeping. We used to skip school and smoke joints on that road all the time 🤣

For those who've taken the time to look here.... Let's be real and transparent. I knew the founder personally, not as a leader of any particular thing but as a friend. Bob was kind and gracious to me and the people in EC have always been a reflection of that. Each of us, regardless of ideology, regardless of race, political affiliation, spiritual preference or the lack thereof.... Each of us should hope to be kind and pleasant and upstanding. That kind of reputation is achieved in many ways and having the ability to notice it is another is admirable and noteworthy. If all you can recognize in another is something you don't like or agree with, then you've ultimately failed at being generally friendly. I'm amazed more and more of how critical people can be, especially if and when they have nothing more than an impersonal account on which to base such criticism. Bottom line, I didn't and don't agree with the views of EC or it's founder. So what!They're still good people. I knew their founder as Bob. I sat across from him in his home there at EC. He was as delighted with the fact that I didn't agree with him as he was the fact we were friends anyway. It's commonly known as the bigger picture. Focusing on what you don't like is shallow. I'd known Bob and some of his family my whole life. It wasn't until I was a grown man and Bob was up in years that I ever truly got to know him. Kindness and love and decency are never things to find fault with. Bob's son and now leader there at EC is one of my dad's best friends. I encourage those of you reading and commenting to stop looking at people in a dim lit light with judgmental and accusatory intent. Why not see the bigger picture? Not just for those in EC but globally. I challenge each of you that are negative towards this group to visit them without agenda. Let them feed you, they will. I'm what some would call a racist but I'm Hispanic with different ethnic backgrounds so I couldn't possibly be considered racist but I don't want my children marrying a blk person .
