2019 - 2022 Chevy Silverado Garage Door Opener Programming - How To Program Silverado Door Opener

A quick video tutorial on how to program the garage door opener that is built in to a 2019 - 2022 Chevy Silverado. Programming the garage door opener in a Chevrolet Silverado with the method shown in this video will require you to use a garage door opener that is already programmed. Once programmed, the existing garage door opener will not need to be in the vehicle.

This tutorial will show you how to program the built-in garage door opener in the following Chevrolet models:
2019 Chevy Silverado
2020 Chevy Silverado
2021 Chevy Silverado
2022 Chevy Silverado

Press and hold the two outside buttons for 10 seconds and that will clear all memory. Then you can program the buttons. Mine did not work until I completed the clearing of the memory.

I started withholding the two outside buttons for 10 seconds to clear the memory. Then I followed your procedure as you instructed, and the lights flashed just as yours did however, the garage door still will not activate. I went through this procedure several times with the clearing and reprogramming, but every time I try to open the garage, it doesn’t work, any suggestions?

Does the original remote need to be in proximity (in the truck) for it to work?
(For example, can I leave the remote else where) ?
