This has happened to me more than once. In 2006, I started a broadcast TV show called The Caravan Channel, 30 minutes every 2 weeks, which I ran for 5+ years. I quit after completing 108 shows, completely hacked off with it. It ended n 2011 - selling the whole package to the broadcaster. I then started a Youtube Channel called Shipping TV, which I ran for 10 years, producing about 1, 800 clips and building 24k subscribers. Felt burnt out and sold that too! I've now started Ships & Shipping, 150 subs, 500+ hours and 115+ clips in just over 2 months. I must be mad!

Every YouTuber goes through this stage at least once in there YouTube career, especially being your own editer it’s hard.

youtube has said themselves that it’s okay to take a break from uploading. you can just come back and there’s a good chance your audience will still be there and you’ll be able to pick up from where you were last at

Even as a small youtuber who is not super popular, I still have times of burnout. Both small and large youtubers should take breaks occasionally.

Oh yeah, I feel you, guys... But I'm not gonna quit, hell no!

Its tough, especially when you try your hardest and find your efforts flatline, a break is good!!

I feel this entire video. I get those moments where I want to give up. But I’m too stubborn to outright quit either.

Just taken a 1 month break. First video back tanked because less people watched over the last month

picking the right niche, on trend, good video skills, and luck got me to where I’m at. It’s not difficult for some I guess. I keep doing it cuz I really like what I’m doing.

It can get difficult at times. I took a break from YT with 300 subs after 7 months. I came back after a 5 month break and came back with more ideas and new content which was actually the best thing I did for the channel. Take a break, enjoy it and it pays back in dividends😁

This is the same thing all small business owners face... some sooner than others and most small business owners don't make it through the first year. I like making videos. And even though I recently started a second channel I have never tried to turn it into a 'business'. I see it as a really cool hobby.

That’s why I took a 30 day break from it. First break I took from it in a decade and it was needed

I took 3 months off I had too, now I'm back and I've had a successful short and gained over 1000 subs. Take the time you need, I did and it paid off.

This is a real struggle for all content creators 😔 The key is to not to burden yourself with too much stress and tension and to take breaks when you need them. We all can do it! Don't lose hope! ✊

Burnout is real.. BUT.. every content creator I've seen make these I Quit vids... they never actually quit

Finding balance in life is crucial. Take all the breaks you need, but never give-up on what you want.

I've been going through this at the moment. I pushed myself so hard for 6+ months and was getting consistently 250, 000-500, 000+ views a month and than just one day couldn't bring myself to edit when I was like "hey I make more money in 1 hour at my day job than when i put 1 month worth of work into my YouTube channel at around 20-30 hours a week". It was very emotionally depressing. Now I'm lucky if I get 20, 000 views a month, since I don't post 1-2 times a day x 6 days a week. I've been trying to push myself to get back at it, but I just hate the feeling of editing for so long and a video flops... that, I kinda just cannot bring myself to open editing software anymore 😅. I probably should take a break. I want to go full time on YT, but it's such a long grind without getting any financial reward until you hit 1, 000 true super fans.

Sometime soon, I want to get an accountability partner. Someone to share the highs and lowes with that actually understands youtube. I think that'd make it easier. Keep grinding my friends!

God bless you all and your channels!

Great advice! I love to make videos and I enjoy the editing. The moment when I feel like creating a video is a chore, I take a break. Taking some time off is perfectly fine. You will come back refreshed and even more motivated. 🙏🏾

It's okay, don't push too hard, just take a break if you feel tired.
