"Stars, hide your fires, these here are my desires!"
You know a band's good when they reference Macbeth.

There are very, very, very few albums that I can honestly say I like every single song on it. This is one of them

I love it when he says "Darkness is a harsh term don't you THINK!" You know the part I'm talking about.
The passion conveyed in that one word is more than you'll ever get from Justin Bieber

KONY 2012 brought me here. Mumford and Sons kept me here.

I could live the rest of my days on a steady diet of "Mumford and Sons", "The Avett Brothers" and "Ray Lamontagne", and come away feeling like I hadn't missed a thing in life.

'It seems that all my bridges have been burned,
But you say that’s exactly how this grace thing works
It’s not the long walk home that will change this heart,
But the welcome I receive with the restart'... always makes me think of the Prodigal Son story Jesus told :) Beautiful song as always from M&S!

“You told me that I would find a home, within the fragile substance of my soul, and I have filled this void with things unreal, and all the while my character it steals”
Amazing to be able to write lyrics like these, I connect!

I don't know why its so difficult for some people to except that the lyrics could actually be about biblical substance. If you knew Marcus Mumford's' parents are national leaders of the Vineyard Church in the UK & Ireland it might make sense, given his possibly religious background, that the lyrics are indeed "biblical" and if they are? so what? That's the beauty of music, it's not science, it's not math, it's an expression of emotion and it's up to the listener to take it how it speaks to them.

I love this group. Reminds me of just a group of friends that get together and start a band. Guitar, check. Piano, check. Bango, check. Big thing I forget the name of, check. drummer, well figure something out. Awesome setup and unique sound. Awesome.

My bestfriend and I were talking about life the other day, how the friendgroup we used to have fell apart and how it's just us two now and everything that went down. I told her it's okay to reminisce and miss things but it's important to remember what's still here and what the future may hold. Then I showed her this song and we both cried while listening. Rolling away a stone that once had you anchored, starting fresh, opening up a new life chapter with someone. That's the beauty and sweetness of bitter endings.

I have never seen anybody bang their heads while playing folk music. Shows their passion for their music. Love these guys.
