When comparing videos side-by-side show the same side of all videos, otherwise there is nothing common in the video to compare!

I'm even more confused. Sorry, don't have any experiences with any GOPRO. It looks like the Session had some great features to recording and stabilizing, colour etc. But does the session have the touch screen and has a decent battery life? Looking to buy something for my son who goes dirt biking. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

have to say you can see the difference with the image stabilisation. Even if it is only digital it makes a difference!

Judging by the final individual clips, the Session distorts more horizontally... probably due to the form factor.

they said the hero 5 firmware is doing the stabilization i wonder if they could add to a future hero4 black and sliver firmware update. that would be cool.

After 2 years it seems like a pretty lame update. With Gopro shares 80% down they really should have offered more.

cool video... kinda but the cropped side by side isn't a great way to compare as there's always more movement on the sides. kinda like the side of a highway will always look blurry as you go down the road. kinda gives a false sense that the 5 session is far better when it may not be.

Great comparison! I can only see a slight difference on 4 Silver and 5 Black's stabilization. I guess there is no need for me to upgrade my 4 silver then. I love the 5 session though. haha

awesome comparison Phil. It's crazy how there is very little difference between the three. I've only used my GoPro 5 once since I bought it.

No major diference between Hero 4 & Hero 5. I believe people will keep buying hero 4 silver ( limited use for 4k right now, overheat problems), and the price of the hero 4 will not go down as much as many expected. I ll wait for the 4 to be sold out, in a few months the price of Hero 5 will be around 300-350€ so that s when I ll probably get it. Meanwhile the first issues with the 5 will be fixed, remeber the sound issue of the hero 4 when wifi was on ? ( had to return 3 cameras to Amazon, others got stuck with them). I was expecting smaller and lighter camera, optical stabilisation or even 360 degrees videos out of the new GoPro, so dissapointed!

the 5s' had better stabilization than the 4 but compared in color it's tough without a good control image. Liked the session for color from what I saw. The new one will be good for you guys that like to fly in puddles being water resistant to 30feet

Hi. I have a doubt about the gopro hero 5 black. Are the screws at the botom and mounts the same at with the gopro hero 4 black? Could I use it with my old accessories likeselfie stick, underwater handle, etc? Thanks!
