I have never seen the glass come out of a microwave. If it did it would let microwaves out when it cooked.

You usually have to take the door apart to do that 😅 but its the same with ovens. If the glass was that loose it would be a safety hazard and reduce effectiveness of cooking

You can do that with most ovens though! It has to me in the manual that come with it or you can google your model

You have to take the panel next to the handle off it looks like to me from the video. It doesn't just slide out that easily

What for microwave do you have? The wife and I have a whirlpool range hood microwave like you have I’m having a trouble with our microwave, filter. I took our filter out and washed it. Good soaked it in good hot Dawn dish, dishwashing water and we dried it and put it back in the microwave. Says the filter still needs to be clean after I clean the thing.
