One person is locking their arms completely the other is not. Doesn’t matter how strong you are you can’t hold it up longer than someone else locking their arms. Just facts, congrats for the girl being smarter than the marine. But if you wanted to be fair, have them both do that with the 45 out in front of them, you’d see a much different result.

Lol there is no way in hell I would have let that happen. Not even because it was a female.... I was in the Marine Corps and we're normally pretty competitive lol you can't let a foreign military beat you!? Lol

We did little things like this in Afghanistan with the British Marines lol. Pretty much anytime we were with another branch we had to compete in some way. Lol

They picked a Marine out of pork chop platoon to go against her. Probably cuz they were like "Man please even LCPL chonk could beat her!" Then they got called out and had to put up or shut up lol and now LCPL chonk will be the butt of this joke for years to come in his military career

The number of fragile male egos in this thread is sad. Women often do very well in strength feats for time when the load is rather low. A huge bodybuilder would be outclassed by pretty much any woman whipping cream for max time, to give an extreme example. Doesn't matter how big your muscles are if you can't get rid of the lactic acid quick enough.

Admittedly this strength test is somewhat advantageous to women. Due their elbow flexibility they can more easily keep the arm perfectly straight. Many men would struggle holding the arm completely straight even without a load. This is well exemplified in Olympic lifting where women's lower to upper arm angle is often >180 degrees at lockout. Also the greater weight of a man's arm works against him holding a weight overhead. Nevertheless its awesome seeing a not very large woman performing a great feat of strength endurance.
