About:
Brian Braddock is a fictional superhero appearing in British and American comic books published by Marvel Comics, originally as Captain Britain. Created in 1976 by writer Chris Claremont and artist Herb Trimpe, with later contributions from Alan Moore and Alan Davis, he first appeared in Captain Britain Weekly #1. The character was initially intended exclusively for the British comics market.

Endowed with extraordinary powers by the legendary magician Merlyn and his daughter Roma, Brian becomes Captain Britain, assigned to be the champion of the British Isles and its peoples, as well as the defender of Earth-616 as a member of the multiversal Captain Britain Corps. Following his corruption by Morgan le Fay, his twin sister Betsy reclaimed the mantle of Captain Britain, with Brian taking up the moniker Captain Avalon as defender of Avalon.

I remember when I got my first captain Britain comic in the original uniform, I can't see anyone else playing him, he would be my captain Britain, to what Christopher Reeves was to superman, he'll do that role justice and I hope he gets the shot at it

I much prefer seeing him as as the Cavillrine. Yet, I don't doubt for a second that he'd be great as Captain Britain. Whatever roles he has to play, he woks hard AND intelligently to bring a multi-faceted character to life. He researches and analyzes his characters, sees what needs to be brought forth and how. I find him to be very thorough and to be able to find opportunities to bring his own creativity to unexpected scenes that didn't call for it, yet was very much necessary. Ex: That incredibly emotional Witcher scene he improvised with Roach's death. That was simply magnificent and you could feel the reverence and love that the Witcher had for Roach even if barely anything was said. Only someone who is deep and feels deeply inside can achieve that level of emotional depth and strength when acting. The talent that man has! He's bound to achieve greatness!

And for those who say he sucks at acting, your vision sucks!

That would great. Henry Cavill a great actor. Also, you forgotten the British super hero team. Called Excalibur. With captain Britain, we're Magggan, and 3 formor X-men, shadow cat, Nightcrawler, Rachel Summer ( 2nd phoenix) and Moira Mac Taggert. Wolfsbane and Psylocke joined later on. 9 other joined later on as well. Interesting though. That some of the members are in the Marvel studio films all ready. Though Juggernaut was in fox, but black knight and Lockheed, (magic friend and pet. ). Diffenley in the 616 moves.

I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea. At least using England, as a leaping off point, for heading into Latveria. And Capt. Britain does end up leading Avengers UK. Might as well introduce him. So when he pops up later, your not asking yourself, who's this guy.

It seems like an awful lot of actors are BOTH a Marvel and DC superhero. If you go by actor one version of Batman and Daredevil are the same person (Ben Affleck). Deadpool is also a Green Lantern etc.

Could be an opportunity to introduce Union Jack II, Spitfire, Chuchulain and possibly Banshee and Black Tom, Morgan Lefay and Dr. Druid. Morgan (the equivalent of Morgana) has history with Merlin and Dr. Druid could be introduced to help counter her machinations.

The costume that Cavil is wearing on the thumbnail is that of the Patriot, the version that Jeff Mace wore except that he didn't have a cape and Mace had a helmet. It isn't Captain Britain's costume.

I wish they'd do the film with the original story from 1976. To me that was the best version of Captain Britain by far. The image used for the No1 Issue here was not the right one.

Sorry but I highly doubt this is happening anytime soon. I see this happening after secret wars when they soft reboot the mcu. It would be like 2028 when it would happen and maybe turn to a tv series. If I’m a betting man he is better off being a cameo or featured as a side character in secret wars. In my opinion I rather see him as the beyonder.I rather he play an awesome bad guy.
