Don't stop there! People are hiding stuff in the walls too. Grab the sledgehammer. I'm gonna tear this place apart!

Someone probably hid that spider-man and forgot where the hid it. One time I was hunting a local department store that was going out of business and hidden high of a top shelf I found a marvel universe sentinel with 3&3/4 wolverine I got it for 30 dollars. I was very happy.

ooh... he was filming, but when he found the RAREST figure, he wasn't filming...

The problem with people hiding stuff is that it’s still listed in the system and doesn’t get reordered. It’s an effed up thing to do to other collectors.

That’s crazy what’s the point in hiding figures under there if you don’t return to buy them. Who knows what’s under these things.

Dang! Finding a figure over 10 years old in a retail environment is very impressive!

Raise you hand if you really believe these figures were not planted...Now slap yourself 🤣

You saved the real one, that spidey didn’t deserve to be under there all those years.

The way you bang the boxes around and slide them on the floor makes me cringe, you don't deserve that spiderman

Anyone else just know finding out the bottom shelves lift up

The target's around me, around the time when all the stores do their resets, always go underneath the shelves and pull everything out and then put most of the stuff on clearance.

Target has been the place to find old stuff. Just this Memorial weekend I found (on shelf): punk spiderman, Lasher and Prowler from Lizard 2017/2018 wave. Not as good as your undershelf finds, but i was happy.

Target also charged me marvel legend price of $19.99 after not finding them in the system. Still better than ebay.

That is an awesome haul. I actually found a few items that way in a similar story. I used to go to this comic book shop that was maybe 10 minutes away from my house and in 2015 the guy who owned it decided to close his doors for good. So they had a little fire sale where everything had to go. Now this comic store was notorious for being so messy you couldn’t even get around the isles and it had such limited square footage that there were literally items stacked on top of one another in various nooks and crannies even where there were no shelves, and while I was there I came upon two older Batman graphic novels that had been out of print since the mid 90’s one of them was the Batman/Grendel crossover from 1998 and the other was the Batman/Predator II crossover from 1994. And last but not least was the original 4-pack of the Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle set from Neca toys that came out in 2008. I found the books hidden behind a pair of shelving units that were being dismantled and I found the neca set in a spot of the store where the posters and t-shirts used to be sold wedged in the corner of the isle. I’ve never forgotten that experience. I was only charged $7 for the two books and $60 for the tmnt set. It was well worth the trip

That's not necessarily customers hiding stock, although some of it undoubtedly is. The staff probably don't move the shelfs around in order to find stock missing 'down the back'. It happens rather a lot in my experience. :)

You gonna have everyone in the toy community lifting up shelves. Haha. Me included.

I just find it crazy that they haven’t done a reset of the shelves in 13 years. Back when I worked at toys r us, we did a renovation of the boys section 3 times in 4 years.

This was a big trend right around the time TRU closed down. people were finding old 3.75" Star Wars sets and it was blowing my mind!
I tried it at several stores near me and never found anything, just dusty dirty dirt. Either someone beat me to it or I don't live in a town where this is a popular method to hide items. Good find though!

“They actually sold it to me?” Lmao seems staged, especially since 2007 from Target hahaha
