What we hear here is not the ECM recording, but the 2nd studio version by Steve Reich and his musicians, recorded in 1996, released in 1998 by Nonesuch, with a blue sleeve.
The gray sleeve is that of the 1st studio version by Steve Reich and his musicians, recorded in 1976 in Paris (Studio Des Dames) by Deutsche Grammophone engineers, released in 1978 by ECM on LP, then in 1988 on CD.

The two versions are quite different. The 2nd (heard here) has a deeper, rounder sound.
The first has more spirit and enthusiasm, more sense of improvisation, fewer repetitions in some sections, and lasts a total of 55'30 instead of 67'40. (about 3'55 for "Pulses" instead of 5'26)
