I just lost my grandfather 3 days ago. Today was his funeral, He was such an incredible man. The type of guy who was able to touch and change hundreds of lives. He came down with so many different diseases that I even have memories from when I was little of him being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because he couldn’t breathe or couldn’t move but he fought them all so he could come home and be there with his family. Sadly after fighting all those years he was tired and he didn’t have the energy anymore. So he passed on leaving behind all his pain and suffering. And I’m happy I really am..it’s hard to see someone you love suffering. But although I know it’s selfish I can’t help but miss him and think about how much I still want and need him. This song makes me think of him because I would do anything to still have him in my life. I know he’s in a better place but it’s hard to say goodbye. (Btw if you made it this far thanks for listening. I really appreciate it)

About 2 years ago, I was going through an existential crisis/depression, and being bipolar, that's not good for my health. My friends had been trying to help me, but I just wasn't connecting to anything they said. So, they ended up reaching out to my crush, who, by the way, is an amazing singer. I very specifically remember her singing this song, and I was just so taken by these lyrics. As they say, "When you are happy, you appriciate the music. When you are down, you connect to the lyrics."
