Lesson 1: Getting Familiar With WebStarts

Account →
Your WebStarts account is where all of your websites live. At the
account level, you can find things like a place to update your contact
information, your password, billing information. Really, anything that
should be considered account wide.

🏆 Practice Skill: Click the drop-down arrow in the top right while
logged in to find account wide Options and Settings

🔥 Dashboard View →
Your dashboard is where you can get an overview of everything to do with
a particular site. There you’ll find which applications you’ve
activated for a particular site along with a place to manage them.

🏆 Practice Skill: Hover your cursor over your site thumbnail and click
the Edit Site button to edit the pages of your site

Page Editor →
The Page Editor is where most of the magic happens. This is where you
make edits and changes to the content of your website.

🏆 Practice Skill: Click the drop down menu in the top left to edit a
different page on your website

Elements →
Each page of your website has a layout which consists of Elements.
Elements are things like images, text, shapes, and a whole lot more.

🏆 Practice Skill: Click the Add icon on the sidebar, then click Text,
then click Paragraph M to add a medium paragraph text box to your page

Content Practice Skill: Double click on an image, click Image Search,
use a keyword to find an image and then double click to swap it with the
existing image

Style Practice Skill: Click on the Add icon on the sidebar, then click
Icon. Click on any of the icons displayed in the library to add it to
your page, then click to select the icon, Click the attached style brush
icon, and choose one of the three icon styles displayed

🏆 Practice Skill: Click on the Add icon on the sidebar, then click
Button. Click on a button size and style to add it to your page, select
where you’d like to link the button to from the drop down menu, and then
click Create Link. With the button selected, click the cog icon and
then click the Link To field and choose another page to link to from the
drop down menu and once again click Create Link
