His comments about the good feelings of a large bank balance being fleeting were great

I dont know but something is sketchy about vice. It does definately have an agenda. Had the opportunity to meet Suroosh Alvi and Shane Smith on a couple occasions... was a bug fan of the punk alt magazine and saw them moving forward to more and more digital content before they signed with HBO... they definately have an agenda...
But it kinda unclear. He more I think on it the more I think it's just to pander on the lost mostly useless millenial generation fixtured and led by gen xers put up mg this enterprising guys cash and gavin Mcinnes and Shane Smith's hard work... wasnt there another guy and a lady that were there and pretty instrumental in the early days too?

It pretty obvious that they pick two kinds of reporters too. The classic unsure an nervous kinda nerd questionably gayish which is so hip today... to have an preponderance of exhibition lead you as the navigator into a semi ridiculous world and sorta pole fun at it...and in doing so sensationalize others goals and values as obscure and not all inclusive.. and 2 the I'm so fuckig cool and sure of my self and hot, but kinda not reporter that is more adventurous and goes and tries this stuff, more reluctantly to explore these different aspects... both are ways to view this with comic relief or self idealized bravado or femvado or what have you... both make some of these stories more interesting g than they are then carefully manipulated cuts to sometimes take things outta context and sometimes incite a sorta low level fear cued by ominous music and dark context...

It certainly makes for some interesting watching... and isnt that the point of a media company ... not nessisarily news... more like adventure travel with tid nits sometimes morsels and occasionally breaking stories ...

Feel o should mention that the general format of the show is more almost a travellogue...
With similar and kinda obviously snagged Ian's Material (all of his host) From the globe trekker series... a decent amount of Huel Howsers from Californias Gold (kinda Donahue meets Geraldo with regan young in an Alamo film) and a peppering of Rick Steve's on occasion...

And then seemingly edgey like smashing pumpkins...

Its sorta a farce but then again a fairly entertainly one with interesting context and subtext and good production value...

I just wish the shows had a slightly wider perspective and clear spectrum of belief system and alignment of the hosts... hell maybe even two make each ep and you juxtaposition the content... for a wider range product...
