2019 Audi Q8 Review

Max gets a chance to drive the all-new Audi Q8 flagship SUV. The Audi Q8 is based on the same platform as the Q7 but has a lower roof, two-rows of seats and a sleeker design. Because the roof is cropped and the third-row of seats has been eliminated, makes for a roomy cargo area. I test drove it today. The interior and frameless doors are nice. BUT the deal killer was the 1-2 seconds turbo lag.

You should include 45 seconds on pricing and options pricing. No car review is complete without the value quotient.

Its certainly an interesting addition to the Audi family. I find it attractive enough. It is awfully expensive though. Thanks for the video Max.

Love the new Q8! Looks really nice, but not a fan of this color and the missing matte gray grill surrounds

I think the bust in Max’s take is that the Q8 is to the A8 as the GLS is to the S-Class at Mercedes. I see the logic, but the implementation certainly is an echo of the A6 not the A8. Some commenters here are already bemoaning the cost — this is, I think, exactly why the Q8 is not an A8-class vehicle. Now that I mention the GLS, many are complaining it isn’t an S-Class interior — it really is a stretched GLE.

I like how you mentioned about the door design. I believe that the better design is when the door goes as maximum to the bottom of the body as possible. Lexus RX is an example if that.
