Judd, well done. Please speak out more about how films have to self-censor themselves in China 🇨🇳 Look at Tenet for example, at the end of the film a Indian arms dealer was assassinated. This movie was widely released in China. If the character was a Chinese arms dealer who was going to get assassinated, the film would have been completely banned in China. Screenwriters now can’t even make the villain Chinese if the expect the movie to get a release in China. The CCP bans movies that show the fictionalized murder of a Chinese person or a movie that shows China in a bad light. Documentaries (or any type of movie) about Chairman Mao, The Cultural Revolution or The Great Leap Forward are illegal in China; makers of those films can go to jail for life.

We censor everything that come into this country. Anime, for example, is completely censored in this country. I have watched both versions of many anime, manga animations and the american versions are stripped down, and sometimes completely changed for our "lowest common denominator", puritan market.
