DUO UNITY | Dinner Show 'ARoma' 2016 Belgium | Duo Cyr Wheel - Duo Roue Cyr

Lea Toran Jenner (German/Spanish) and Francis Perreault (Canadian) met each other at the École Nationale de Cirque in Montréal in 2011. In search of new challenges, they decided to work together in one Single Cyr Wheel to create an innovative circus discipline - the Cyr Wheel Duo.

After training together for over 3 years, Duo Unity found their style in combining their strengths with poetic sensibility while creating a romantic atmosphere by mixing grace with danger.

For their Cyr Wheel Act, Lea & Francis have been rewarded with a Bronze Medal at the prestigious Circus Festival Cirque de Demain in Paris, France in 2015 and a Gold Medal & Audience Award at the International Festival of Albacete, Spain 2019.

In search for new challenges the Duo Unity created a new Act in 2019 - an Aerial Duo Chandelier Act.

Duo Unity has worked internationally with different circus and variety shows as well as special events and TV appearances. Their latest long term engagement has been with the prestigious Moulin Rouge in Paris (2017-2018).

Unless you have had a crack at CYR yourself (trust me it's really tough!) you can't even begin to imagine the skill and many hundreds/thousands of hours of practice that has gone into this extraordinary performance. How they don't collide with the wheel, bump into each other and maintain their poise throughout is incredible.

That was beautiful! I can't imagine how difficult it is to learn to dance with the CYR wheel, but I can certainly appreciate how much work this young couple put into making it look almost "magical" as they used it!

I had wide eyes the entire time and almost cried. THANK I was invested. So glad they didn't get hurt and worked so well together. It felt illegal to watch, like the intimacy of a couple in a bedroom! So graceful and in sync what a truly wonderful performance.
