It's gorgeous! I'm not big on powdery scents but this one is irresistible.

Habanita smells like you take the essence of the best of Cuban society, Traditional Danzon, the feeling you get from the elegance left from the old architecture reminiscent of times of glory and prosperity once had, the warmth of a summer night and the uniqueness of the kind of hotness autochtone to a hot Cuban woman, you mix it in a caldron with the energy of nothing matters in life other than making it all about having a good time. It smells like the feminine essence of good Cuban class and sensuality. You take the essence of the beauty of Habana and make a woman out of it and that's how she would smell, wealthy or not, but beautiful and sensual for sure.

Habanita, Cabochard, Paloma Picasso, Samsara, Magic Noire, Habit rouge, Histoire d'amour, Rumba, Kenzo by Elephant, Agent provocateur, Want pink ginger, Si lolita, Madness and so on... Yes, that are types of women perfumes which I wear and like. Almost men's, and very strong, spicy, leathery, smokery and unique. Thank you very much.

I think Habanita means a girl from Havana, kind of like "Parisienne" would be a girl from Paris.
I own a bottle of Habanita and I think it's a fascinating fragrance. It's also a difficult one as I don't find too many occasions to wear it. Maybe I should stop caring about what's appropriate :p
I also find it interesting how its effect changes with the weather/climate/humidity. On some days it's heavy, almost unbearable, on others I can't get enough of it.

This was my mothers signature scent and as a child it wasn't my favorite of her perfumes -- not to say that I disliked it but it is definitely not a soccer mom perfume. Recently I have gotten more into perfume and I really appreciate it and it kind of helps me understand my mom a lot better

I have my “working” bottle and two backups of this. It’s a beautiful, complex scent. I can still smell it the morning after. 😊

Thanks for your review. I often wear Habanita and would mention that it's a peculiar scent: every time you wear it depending on your mood, the weather... you smell a different aspect of it... It's also great for bedtime or in the summer. A real gem in a scented wardrobe. And you can buy the 500 ml when it's available a few times a year on Molinard's website. Totally affordable...

I’ve owned both the 80’s EDT as well as this current version. Both are excellent, the current version is more “wearable” sooner whereas the EDT I felt I couldn’t leave the house for 30 minutes until it settled.

I’ve got to try this! I love powder and I love all the vintage classics. I always think there must be something special that has made them last the test of time. Of course I have Chanel No 5 and Shalimar EDP, but this one only came to my attention recently! Haven’t tried it yet, ordered a little decant and I’m hoping I’ll like it as much as you do, they I’ll get a full bottle.
