All depends on what sprockets you are running on either bike ....my 06 wr picked up 40mph when I changed the front and rear sprockets out from a 13 front 50 rear to a 15 front and 47 on how and where you are going to be riding the bike ....13 50 is great for the woods ....but a 15 47 will work a ton better on the road ...mine will run well over 100 mph now

I expect the wr450 to keep up. I have a yz450f its a rocket but havent try the 701. I like to buy one in near future
