Burning River Ultra Marathon Race Report 2021

This was my experience for e the 2021 burning river ultra marathon 50 mile course. This year Burning river was not the race I had hoped for but the ultra marathon I got. Its always good to keep a clear perspective when and Ultra does not go as planned regardless if its 50 miles or 100 miles.

Nice shots of all that slop. It was a challenging race, and stomach issues are no fun. Way to get 'er done! AND able to jump across the finish line!

Nice job of grinding it out. It was a tough day out there. I ran the 100. You are right about this race. It is well organized and the aid stations are great. I'm planning on going back next year for my third BR100. Good luck at Cloudsplitter!

Thank for watching, I had an interesting 50 mile ultra at burning river this year. But I just could not find a good reason to quit.

Nice job, I did the 50 as well and felt alot of the same things you did. I'm also going to do the Cloudsplitter 100k this October. I agree the cutoff is very generous but with 16k feet of gain over basically 70 miles I think it will be a lot harder than a 40 hour cutoff makes it seem. Good luck in your training between now and then and I'll probably see you there.
