Activate or Renew MATLAB / Mathworks License

To renew a standalone Matlab installation with an institutional license (before the license expires):
1. Start Matlab
2. From the Help drop down menu in the toolbar, select Licensing
3. Select Update Current Licenses...
4. Select the license that appears in the list, and click Update
5. A window asking you if you are sure will appear. Click Yes
6. Your license has been updated. A message will appear to restart Matlab
7. Restart Matlab for the changes to take effect
8. Upon re-launching Matlab, the license expiration notice should no longer appear
