My leopard gecko runs up to the glass in half a second as soon as he sees me and he gets all excited

Leopard geckos can smell you by your individual pheromones from somewhere around like 30 meters, mine would start glass surfing sometimes 5 minutes before I even walked through the front door of the apartments I used to live at, my partner started to try and pick him up so he wouldn't do that but as soon as I would open the front door he'd jump towards me from wherever he was.

I love when creators or animal handlers in general make that known. These animals truly aren’t “loving” you, they’re just comfortable around the big creature feeding them.

Not only can they recognize their owners, they can pick favorites!
One of mine is much more of a daddy's girl because she likes my best friend way more than she likes me despite the fact I'm the one who takes care of her. Then again, I have another one that gets extra antsy if I leave the room, so one daddy's girl and one mama's boy balances things out lol.

The clothing with scent reminded me of a time when my ultra spicy one stole one of my socks! She dug her claws into it and refused to let go. I didn't want to pull hard enough to hurt her, so I let her have it. Any time I tried to remove it, she would cling to it for dear life! It took a few weeks of careful strategizing but I eventually managed to take it back. It was on a paper towel substrate at the time so the sock never got gross or anything. I just didn't want it eventually causing problems and the dryer goblins kept stealing my socks too.
Moral of the story: if you're gonna do the scent thing, make sure it's something you can live a few weeks without in case it becomes their security blanket.

When I had my mom babysit my lizard for a week she had to wear one of my hoodies just to be able to feed him because he kept acting aggressive towards her 😭 I felt so bad. He’s now a way more socialized boy and loves attention even from strangers

My leopard gecko was hurt when I first got him his I was popped out took a couple months he's so much better that was 3 years ago he is my best friend and I love him so much when I walk in the room he notices me even over the kids he will come to the side of his habitat and begged me to take him out I put my hand in and he jumps right on my hand up my arm and onto my shoulder and licks my face sweetest boy ever I wish I could add a picture

For me i was in 7th grade but what i did was put calcium powder they love on my finger and then theyd lick it then i put it on my palm and theyd crawl on then i just started laying my hand down eventually and theyd crawl on
