From making copies of the original World War 2 Jeep to the Thar ROXX, Mahindra and Mahindra has come a long way. The new Thar ROXX is much more than a five-door version of the best-selling three-door Thar, even if one of the top names in consideration for the vehicle was the 'Thar Five'. It might have been named ROXX because it is 'Rocking'; but this is a proper lifestyle C-Segment SUV designed to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti-Suzuki Grand Vitara. The top-spec AX7L version that @kushanmitra drove in his first drive impression comes loaded to the gills with Level 2 ADAS, a huge 1850mm x 900mm panoramic sunroof, a nine-speaker Harmon-Kardon audio system and more. But is that all enough to take on the competition, and what about competition from Mahindra's own Scorpio-N and XUV700? Why is Mahindra management so confident with this car? And why is driving in Kerala so dicey?
