IRIG PRO DUO unbox, setup, demo

Just got the IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo and did an unboxing and showed how easy it was to setup on my iPad Pro and then I give a little demo with going through a few of the sounds and amps with GarageBand.
Downloading the free apps that are included with this purchase is not an easy feat. Still trying to get that squared away.
All in all this is quite entertaining and I'm having fun playing with the different guitar simulators. Not so sure this will replace a pedal board but it is definitely worth getting just for the entertainment factor.
When I get a bit more familiar with this I'll do a recording comparison; Focusrite 18i8 vs iRig Pro Duo. I'm curious as to how much better the Focusrite will be.
This little gadget isn't cheap and you really could by a small, 2 channel Focusrite for what this costs. But, this is incredibly portable and thats what your paying for.

Great out of the box demo of this product, I am looking forward to an updated video after you have used it in your studio and at one of your live gigs..I had read about this unit but this is the first out of the box demo I have seen..Great stuff..Rock On!!

Thanks, Mine is on the way, bought it new on Ebay, hope I don’t have any issues with packaging. Sounds like it will do exactly what I need it too. I’ll run it thru my Fishman SA220 and my Ipad Pro.

It might be obvious to some, but the unit will not power on with batteries in it until you plug it into a device. I was sitting there thinking it was defective.

Hey Dev thanks for the video I'm trying my Irish product for the 1st time but my new ipad I used to use it with a mad book pro and it worked just fine 1st time I'm plugging in into the ipad it's Picking red high pitch like crazy Any idea what it could be

Hi Deb Erney. thanks for your demonstration. Deb Erney i have an issue about AA Battery Volt. i rig pro duo come with 1 pair AA "1.5" Volt Battery but in my country i found all rechargeable AA Battery has "1.2" volt. If i use 1.2 volt rechargeable Battery in i rig pro duo then Would it be wasted or damage? any suggestion please. sorry for my bad English.

Great video. I’m subscribed. I received this kit as a gift from my husband while we were living in California a few months ago and it took me a while to inbox it and set it up. Then, as soon as I figured it out to start using it, I got a chance to get into a new house but I had to take it right away this leaving my new studio set behind. It’s been well over a month and I’m excited to say my husband Adam will be here this Tuesday night and he is bringing the system with him on his flight. The rest of our stuff is on a slow freight to us in our new Pennsylvania home. I was hoping to find out if this kit has a regular telephone/Walkman style headphone jack to lightning port adapter or not. I might order one just for when I want to do Smule on the go with a simply old school phone earphones with mic set to be sociable online. They’re cheap and I guess you can’t have too many of them. They get lost and swiped easily.

Musicians friend has terrible packing practices. I often mentioned this in the review but they never seem to change. They will throw the items in with tons of packing paper but nothing is secure. As for the blemishes it looks like you definitely got an open box model which should’ve been a lot cheaper in price.I keep saying that I won’t buy from them anymore but you are correct the prices are usually cheaper. I wonder if Sweetwater will do price comparison.
