He was an orphan since 7yrs old and lived on the streets of the Phillippines, only learned to sing by hearing music on radios and karaokes.

He never even had proper elementary education and any musical training yet he could mimic original singers voices and presentations. Yet he remains a down to earth person.

The way you smile when listening to music is so joyful.

My daughter and I saw him live in San Diego last year. We met him backstage. We took photos and found him humble and very friendly and warm. An amazing person.♥️❤️

For starters…your reaction to Marcelito, is genuinely on point, and very good reason to be. He is truly a force of talent to be reckoned with. Secondly he comes from the Philippines who has has endured hardships at an early age, from being abandoned, and living in the streets, and squatting in almost every undesirable environments one can experience. His unique talent was all self taught, with no formal training, and just sang throughout his entire life to comfort him during his hardships. His unique talent has placed himself, in a better place nowadays, eventually becoming a big celebrity in the Philippines, Married with children, and was a impressive contestant on “ AGT “ a few years ago, and although he didn’t win. He is one of Philippines greatest singers. It makes me so proud to be a Filipino, and knowing that we can be “ World Stage “ material. He is truly what our country represents aside from the many attributes it possesses. 😇🙏🙏🙏Bless You Dear for posting 🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏👍

Yeah. This performance always manages to bring a tear to my eye. I love Andrea and Celine, and Marcelito manages to capture both their essences so exceptionally well.

Fabulous reaction, Aileen. I just watched your reaction a second time and enjoyed it even more. Although you didn't say much or interrupt the video, your facial expressions were priceless. You went from sceptical, to puzzled, to amazed all in the space of 9 minutes. Toward the end, the tears welling up in your eyes was a great testimony to Marcelito's beautiful cover.

FYI, I have watched and listened to literally hundreds of reactions to Marcelito's cover of "The Prayer". Your reaction ranks way up there with the best of them. Thank you for your genuine reaction.

To think people are still discovering marcelito more than 10 years since he first started singing on stage is incredible! His duel voices is what makes him special but Hearing his songs in foreign languages he doesn't speak is absolutely incredible his ability to mimic sounds and sing in pitch and clarity is amazing, . His mandarin and Spanish covers are probably his best performances if you didn't see him singing you never would believe it was him. My favorites are Listen and never enough which after hearing his celine dion cover of power of love really shows off his female vocal ranges and his many male vocal songs like perfect are equally amazing to listen to.

Listen to him on AGT singing the Beauty & the Beast. Yes he has the best voice I have ever heard. You got goosebumps like many other people have done. He’s from the Philippines & lived on the street for many years of his childhood. He found out that he had a great voice for singing. In 2019 he won the Philippines Got Talent. He’s been touring around the US. Great Video. Thanks for sharing.

A million thumbs up for You are the 5th reaction of this masterpiece, I have listened to in a row....and the FIRST... to listen to the whole song...without continuous pausing. I salute you... it was a pure and wonderful reaction. You discuss the performance, AFTER the song... and I was very appreciative of this. Thank you...very much.

It hit me the same way 😭. Wait until you look into his background, he's completely self-trained, no formal training, was abandoned as a child and grew up in the streets. There is a tradition in the Phillipines called "doble kara", which is being able to switch voices like this, but he's the best of all time afaik. He has a supportive partner and an adorable child now and tours extensively.
