So I guess that the jumpscare happens because the monster realized that the real "Amanda" told something relevant to her situation and so lashed out in anger.

What's scary is that her voice becomes clear as you respond with "Yes" 3 times

It's like you knew that Amanda isn't just possessed by a Demon, she's also a girl that got murdered and got inside those tapes (this is just a theory)

Ok, here’s my theory.

When you say yes to her, you “unlock” her, so to speak, from the controlling force. Amanda is noticeably nicer and friendlier in this tape towards us, even without Wooly to calm her.

When you say yes, the tone of her voice clears when she says she’s out there. But, it’s not in a malevolent tone : the follow up “Somewhere” sounds uncertain and scared, as if now she is free, she could be anywhere in the world.

Then, the final jumpscare (the blood-red screen and screams) I think is the remnants of the controlling entity/ force, which, having now purged, you need to destroy ( by putting a brick through the screen). It’s a bit like Link and the Divine Beasts in BotW.

If you say “no”, she sounds really disappointed. It’s as if she’s saying “You were this close to freeing me. You didn’t break at anything else, so why won’t you cross the final line?” But she still has hope I think- she doesn’t kill us, just tells us to leave- maybe, hoping one day we’ll come back.

Just a theory, but I think it makes sense.

Also, I’m calling it, Wooly’s evil.

You know what’s creepy than Amanda’s jumpscare after you say yes for the third time? The fact that there are warning signals in the tv (example:flood warning, storm warning, etc)

everyone else probably saw this but at the screaming red part you can see a human figure with their hands on the screen ( thats the best way i can describe it ) and I think it shows how trapped Amanda really is.

A theory I have:
When she says shes out there, she says that shes somewhere. When she said that shes somewhere, she said it like she was sad and her smile disappeared. As if she knows whats going on, but she still doesn’t know half of it. I think that there are separate amandas and the demon version can control both of her/it’s bodies or minds.

Hey remember the missing girl called Kate maybe it’s giving us a hint that Amanda is Kate that because when Amanda mention Kate one of her episode’s and she also mention the lonly kitten and got an emotional breakdown that just sounds like she is calling for help
