Climate change impacts are felt across the world, especially in vulnerable countries such as many in the Asia-Pacific region. While climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR) can address vulnerabilities and build the resilience of communities, climate change is set to cause loss and damage (L&D) in many geographic, socioeconomic, and sociocultural spaces. In this context, there is a need to enhance knowledge on all levels and develop effective methodologies and tools to assess, analyse, and address economic and non-economic L&D and its interlinkages with adaptation and DRR.
SLYCAN Trust and the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) are launching a publication of case studies on this thematic area. Watch the following video message from one of our authors:
