My Shop's on Fire! with Arduino! FastLED and WS2812B LEDs Shop Project Example

Показать описание
Dave's Garage presents corner molding with 1,000 LEDs built in; each of the individually addressable WS2812B LEDs is controlled by my custom C++ code running on an ESP32 microcontroller.

The circuit controller has a 2.5" TFT LCD display for a user interface that allows you to enable or disable any of the dozen or so effects, as well as controlling effect rotation time and method.

The system also provides a Web interface accessible worldwide that allows you to control the effects. It also provides a complete RESTful api for accessing and controlling effect states. The web server runs on the ESP32 microcontroller using it's build in WiFi and SPIFFs flash for file storage.

I have made my way through all the videos, noting some missing episode numbers, but pushing through them all. This being my 2nd and 3rd time through some videos, I am slowly making progress. Dave is quite correct that Platformio is pretty easy to install on the VS Code platform. It has certainly been fun picking up the next code and seeing how it affects the strip of LEDs. This pass through the video series, I am hoping to figure out integration of all the code into a select able method, as well as swap from the ESP32 the early videos are based on, into the M5SticC Plus. Believe me, they are different. I was hoping to find a conversation on the Discord server, but am still making my own way, slow and go. HIGHLY recommended if you are wanting to create these effects or just learn.

Great video. I recently ordered a ws2812b strip. Do you share the code somewhere? Many thanks.

Some people enjoy sharing their codes and giving explanations on how they do it. For us that want to do cool things like this. But have no idea how to code it. Would like to learn.
