Raising Turkeys: Building a Covered Run for Protection

Today I'm building a covered run for the turkey to be able to go from their new turkey tower outside and be protected from predators. #homestead #farmlife #turkeys

Some of the baby turkeys have snoods coming. So that means you have to male baby turkeys. It is the little horn that sticks out on the babies. That is called a snood. Great work on the turkey run.Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings.

Only people who live in temperate climates can appreciate how difficult and sapping working in the humid conditions can be.

Hope the early bonding with the goslings carries through to the future. Hostile geese are good against predators but a pain to people in the vicinity.

What a great new home for the turkeys. A couple hints: take some of the bedding (if you still have it) and spinkle it in the Tower and Trot so it smells familiar. I couldn't tell if you rounded off the roosts. Rounded posts are more like the branches they would roost on ate better for their feet. Maybe even add a few branches they can hop on. Very lucky turkeys!!
