Thank you for giving all the details (names etc) and the subtitles are fantastic! 🙏❤️ This is a tough but nuanced story with great acting. Two characters who love deeply despite hurting each other. Grey characters (neither lead is all good or all bad). Both are victims of circumstances, but also perpetrators. The tension was consistent throughout, and I was riveted. 10/10 for me, but it will not appeal to everyone. The actors had me so invested I bawled at the end, but the last screen shot helped- the way her visage turned around and smiled, indicated a "yes" in answer to the ML's voice-over question.

The first woman in the story was very weak from the beginning and made no effort to become stronger, either emotionally or physically. Throughout the story, she was hurt and also hurt the one who loved her. In my opinion, you shouldn't compromise what's right to save someone's life, especially when that person keeps repeating their mistakes. 😶

Tho the ending is so heartbreaking and make me crying a river but i am very very satisfied with this kind of ending!!!!

The best retribution for a man like bo hanshi is like this, has no a future and cant amend his sins to that person he owe to the most!! A dead of his victim is best kind of revenge as he has no chance to show his apology, his sincerity that he's really regret it, and his way in atoning his sins. However he make those efforts, the feel cant reach to the dead person as they're already living in the different world.

But unfortunately, the writer doesnt show us how qiao yu's mom got killed. As the culprit is jiang wan, the vicious girl who will do anything to make bo hanshi marry her. Also there is no scene how bo hanshi will explaining to bo xiangshi (his daughter) about her mom is already died. As i believe the big contribution is bo hanshi, he make qiao yu drank so much alcohol to humaliate her and it lead her to hv a late stage of liver cancer. I wonder when xiangshi grow up, will she blame herself for craving a daddy back then but she had to pay with her mom died??

I thought that qiao family is really owing bo hanshi whatever the reason. But when i know that bo hanshi also has an ulterior motive for came to qiao family back then, i think that this drama had a dark plot. So bo hanshi is not that innocent as he used yuyu to cover his disguise. And he acted like yuyu owe him her life, not realized how his reason to get close to her in the first place. So this kind of ending is very serve him so well 👏👏
