This is a companion video to A Card Catalogue from the new book- The Unplugged Woodshop by Tom Fidgen. 2012. The Taunton Press.
In this video I prepare the carcase panels using 3/4-in. walnut. The parts are jointed, glued and flattened in preparation for dovetails.
For more information on this and other hand crafted projects, check out my book and website- The Unplugged Woodshop.
Thanks for watching!

No rest for the awesome. It's great you have the clientele to be able to go from piece to piece and not have downtime.

I'm a little behind on following this build video.  What plane are you using to joint the edges, 0:29, I haven't seen one like that before.

Couple of questions Tom. Is that walnut? Did the low angle plane leave tearout, hence the scraper? I don't have a LA plane but thought they dealt with tear out??

Would watch more of your videos if possible you narrated instead of the music playing. Just being honest - otherwise great vids! :)
