there’s so many things wrong with this “hack”. 1: you shouldn’t be mixing toothpaste and mouthwash at all, because they’re chemically made and used for their own purposes. it’s just going to make it ineffective as a whole. 2: that tube is going to be a hassle to clean, because it’s going to get crusty and build up mould. not to mention how hard it’ll be to clean up the tubes and pipes. 3:as you’ve mentioned, the UV lights clash with the components in the toothpaste in that clear bottle which also makes it ineffective. no wonder toothpaste bottles are always opaque. 4: since most bottles have a little space at the end, how are you going to get that final bit of toothpaste at the bottom? what, are you going to stick your brush in there and cause a mess? it’s way more efficient to just roll up the toothpaste bottle or squeeze the last bit out. i get it though, it looks nice on your bathroom counter and seems efficient but it’s just for show and the “aesthetic”, there’s no purpose for that toothpaste-mouthwash mixture.

Thats why the tube for the toothpaste isnt clear because if the stuff that is made into the toothpaste gets affected by light and some people thought a clear tube would be a good idea but it has reasons

Lightbulbs don’t emit UV light and glass is opaque to UV (that’s why you can’t get sunburnt inside), so unless you keep this outside the UV light won’t be a problem

The thing that gets me is there's plenty of solutions that also look nice and perform the same idea, better. Like the toothpaste that comes in pumps or the dispensers that you attach to the tube.
