i live and grew up in kansas, and know allot of folk from cali who live here now. they are terrified by tornadoes (allot of kansans are terrified by earthquakes). this had to have just traumatized the folk involved, here in kansas it might just be a tuesday.

Tornadoes do happen near L.A. from time to time. Hawthorne, California was struck by a tornado in 1966.

I worked in LA years ago and people there hassled me for living in Kansas where we are supposed to have all these tornados. I guess they might be thinking different now.

I grew up where you get tornados every year, way bigger than that and they acting like this a catastrophic event 😂😂

This one is not the first. I saw a mini tornado in my workplace parking lot 2 weeks ago at Pico Rivera. It started from our vast parking lot and disappeared after hitting a building next. Part of the roof were torn apart and down on the ground. No one was hurt and my colleague came out disorientated. He thought it was an earthquake because the entire building was shaking. It was incredible as we saw the thing grow from a mini swirl of winds and became larger and larger moving in a high speed. We couldn't believe what we saw.
