Exitlag was literally a game changer for me on Fortnite. I live in Algeria (North Africa) and my ping was almost always 60, sometimes it'd even shoot up to 70s even in creative where you're supposed to get lower ping. I start using exitlag and boom, 20-30 ping in BR, and 11-13 in creative. the sheer difference is astronomical. though one thing to note is that it may work for some and not for others. because in my case my ISP is simply run by a bunch of baboons and realistically 20-30 should be my default ping since I'm so close to Europe, but since they're incompetent I had to resort to things like exitlag for regular non monkey configured routing.

On a trial, what I believe is that it trades latency for stability. For Fortnite it seems to add a few ms in ping but had fixed packet loss due to bad routing. Which is a very good trade-off. Will try it out for other servers and see what I get...

So I tried it with halo infinite and my friends ping was unstable even though we get the same servers. And I would hear ppl complaining that it was laggy for them. So I uninstalled cuz I'm scared of getting banned. Just an FYI.

WIll check the vid in some time. I have one of those services build in RT-AX88U router, alongside many similar kinda options. Not using it as in my case most stuff is the route that ISP has set up to server, that I cannot impact.
Btw. Khorvie, will you cover one day some of router optimizations (based on like 3-5 decent routers that actually are not scam :D )

also random question/request: In the new upcoming windows guide, maybe include tips on how to confirm what USB port goes directly to CPU (and not chipset) for mouse and keyboard. In my case x470 mobo had this info missing in every manual, but I got confirmation that the scheme is the same as on x570 (so newer asus crosshair boards)
