What's especially tragic is that Nick in that moment felt hurt by his uncle brushing him off by not involving him with the Greeks, but that decision by Frank in that moment probably saved his life. No doubt they would've offed Nick right alongside his uncle.

I think up until this point all music in this show was only played when it was either playing in a car/radio or somewhere in the background of the scene and not as an additional music. This was the first time it actually overplayed over a montage and it was perfection. The wire set a standard for Television.

I don't think it is an exaggeration to say that this is one of the best dramatic sequences in TV history, elevated almost entirely by this incredible piece of music. Throughout there is a sense of tension and foreboding which eventually turns to inevitability with Frank Sobotka's fate sealed by a single line spoken by the Greek - "your way, it won't work". Masterclass.

Season 2 is my favourite, This scene literally had me shattered for weeks.
I still haven't garnered the faith to rewatch it again, can't fathom it.

This scene reminds me of when Avon said .. “be a little slow, be a little late .” … if only Frank had been 15-20 mins earlier to that meet MAYBE he could have escaped that day

People who say season 2 of this show was boring are children! 😭😭 great acting/story with the sabodtkas/the union/the port and a look on who was the highest connect supplying all the boss’s in Bmore. The Greek and his crew were on a whole other level.
