That’s funny, when an SDA challenges a belief, he is booted. Also, ALL SDAs are required to agree with the 28 fundamental beliefs (it’s almost like the 28 fundamental is a confession).

We don't have creeds because they change, but we made 25 principles that were "reorganized" with provisions to 27. Seems a Plus, if a creed is based off scripture, then it wouldn't change and be good if based off the Word of God. Talk about circular reasoning.

This video is word salad that has taught me nothing about what a Seventh Day Adventist believes. I was genuinely seeking to be educated and have not learned a thing.

I found this video while searching for a place to ask this question: Which of the 28 “fundamental beliefs” is truly fundamental either to the Christian faith or to the adventist emphasis within the Christian church?

The video, however, raises some additional questions.

...”It was also to help adventists distinguish themselves from people who claimed to be adventist but clearly weren’t”.

Even if it was understood at that point in time (1872) that the “25 principles” were subject to change, if it distinguished adventists from non-adventists, was it a creed in the sense of defining heresy?

An ad hoc committee was appointed to perform revisions? Appointed by whom? (Does the word “appointed” imply hierarchical organization?)

Has the advent movement become an “ism”? Or can people be part of the movement without subscribing to... well, see the first question above.
