Horton is telling the truth on Black Cinema, especially if you can niche down. I've been DPing these types of films over the last 11 years. There's an audience especially on platforms like tubi & BET Plus.

If you're in a niche market, make material for a niche audience who is starved. I hear people all the time want to make films on a microbudget that Hollywood makes-don't do that.
