I just wanted to thank you all for the support but I’ve been receiving some concerning messages and thought I should clear something up - I cannot stress enough the fact that this study is just from one perspective. As much as what I am saying in the video is factual and educational, within psychology there are many different approaches and perspectives that can provide answers and explanations for things discussed, therefore this is just looking at attachment from one angle and not the whole picture. I worry that some people are taking the conclusions from this study as though it’s intending to provide the single explanation for different forms of attachment, however it is just one approach that is covered in this video. Feel free to message me or comment if you have any questions, I love that so many of you seem interested in this topic!!💗

As a psychology student I am very excited for this series

Studied this in school prior to having children. After having children, my thoughts are completely different. I’m the same mom, with 4 kids that would have all reacted differently in that situation. Their innate characteristics (and even how they mesh with my personality and parenting style) are all so different.

I’m taking a (child) psych class and I’m hyped for this series!!
Can you do the psychology of psychopathy/sociopathy? It’s so fascinating to me how they think and I would love to see you make a video about it :)

Caitlin, I fully applaud the new focus in this content. I am looking forward to next Saturday’s video. With respect to this video, the study was interesting but limited in scope. As you mentioned, there are many other factors that would likely impact behavior. My take away from the study is that if you make the effort to be fully present for your child as much as possible, the child will behave accordingly because the child has accepted you in the role you have assumed in their lives. If you don’t spend enough time they will exhibit behavior consistent with your comparatively infrequent presence in their lives and they could be nearer to indifferent to the parent if the relatively little time they do spend with them is colored by unhappiness and/or having have had to fend for themselves frequently due to the lack of parental presence. All very entertaining to think about. Thank you.

Now, I have to admit that I took one phyc class in HS yet my interest level sucked at that Years later I've had 5 children and this experiment is FASCINATING! I can relate to at least two of the findings and it really has much to do w/ my own personal experiences at that time.... Please keep covering these cases...I'm kind of left speechless...
Ty for all u do!! Keep up the great work! U r gonna do so well w/ ur future!!! I feel like a proud Mama! Lol!!💞

Very excited for Saturday. So many people are nervous to dive into the rabbit hole of psychology.
It is a strange thing isn’t.

I've studied psychology extensively and I have a lot of friends who work in mental health, so I've heard/studied this experiment- Very well done! I'd love to hear what you think about the ethical/not so ethical treatment of Genie the Feral Child!

I love your psychology series. I am subbed to so many true crime Youtubers which the same cases are covered over and over so I love this and your experiments series. Its different than what others are doing. You should not have to worry about getting demonitized for this type of content either. So it's a win win!!!

Love this!! Would love an episode on police induced confessions and interrogation. I remember studying the Michael Crowe case at a level psychology and it was so interesting x

So interesting! Please do more videos like this! By that I mean experiments that are interesting but where people weren’t abused
