For those wondering how this works...
Leuco dye is a transparent liquid chemical that shows its color only when exposed to acid. It is the main component of the Crayola markers’ ink.
Therefore, these markers are indeed mess-free and they will only work on Crayola Color Wonder Papers.

I had something similar, except it was like a mini overhead projector (the ones teachers used to use before smart boards) and we also had like this little mat with special markers like that. It needed water to work 😂
