9:14-9:40 take the exam now or later
11:55-12:30 ? the exams are evenly spread through the Vorl.freie Zeit
12:30-13:30 finding an internship
there is really really a lot of theory
the more applied stuff comes in the masters
15:30-16:10 not enough practice, but you get the theory behind why something works the way it works, and not just how it works without knowing why
- people learn programming as a hobby in their soare time to be prepared for a real life career
- the studies are very heavy on theory, but when you program on the side, you can be well prepared for a career
- program good and fast, through your university education you are more prepared for theoretical thinking and working and not the actual computer stuff
- most people do about 8 semesters. One of them will do 9 semesters so that he can also live a bit and not just study <-> it's pretty doable in 6 semesters says one of the others
- the most fun thing as a CS students are the hackathons, in which you have 24h to code something and then putch it, and there often are nice prizes
- there's the Fachschaft, you could do something with them, if you want to specify CS; it's a good idea to go out and meet other people through different offers and extracurriculars
- there are a lot of student initiatives where you can engage and do a lot of practical work -> as a CS student you can actually participate in any one of them because they all have domething to do with that
- Hochschulsport, one of the interviewed ones is a runner and was part of a university running them where they would meet and practice weekly
- being a member in a student organization is a good way to meet students from other subject areas and backgrounds
- one of them are part of the AV, which for exmaple does videos like this one
- Favourite bars: the LikeLike, Guiness House, Cafe Kittle (beautiful sitting area outside, nice interior), Cactus, West Park (many students meet in a park and not a bar, because it is simpler, during the spring and summer kind of the whole universuty is there, it is full of students of the RWTH and FH)
- Apart of the WEATHER, Aachen is a great city

I would like to study Informatik in RWTH Aachen. My question is that if a person has the needed NC of 2, 6 or higher. Does he get accepted directly?

Thanks for the video, really informative. Is it still the case, that you can watch all the lectures at home, like an on demand or live video? And is it just for Vorlesungen or even Übungen? I am considering to study at the RWTH but i'm living in Cologne and thought about to commute.
