== SYNOPSIS ==

As the Black Death ravaged Europe, Alphonso XI would go down in history as the only reigning European Sovereign to die of the Plague. His campaign to complete the Reconquista would be cut short. Thus ironically, as more than a third of Europe died, Nasrid Granada would be saved by the pestilence. A new era would begin and under the reign of Muhammad V, the Emirate of Granada would experience a golden age. However, like any golden age, this one too would come to an end.

It's weird how when people talk about the Moorish occupation of spain suddenly all the talk abou "colonization is always bad" suddenly vanishes and Spaniards should be ashamed that they reclaimed their own homeland.

The story of how the Nasrid kingdom of Granada helped Castile against Aragon, and then how Castile went to the aid of the deposed sultan of Granada would make an interesting film. It was confuse people who are ignorant of history, in a good way! 😊 Thanks for this very interesting video. I had no idea that history and construction of the magnificent Alhambra and that of the beautiful Alcazar in Sevilla were so connected by political forces.
