Simulating Envelope Tracking

Показать описание
Power amplifiers that must amplify signals with high peak-to-average power ratios, if using a fixed bias, must be operated at relatively high output power back off. This prevents greatly distorting the signals when their envelope excursions are near their peaks. However, the greater the amount of back off, the lower will be the efficiency of the power amplifier. Envelope tracking is a way of overcoming this issue, by allowing the amplifier's drain bias to track the magnitude of the input signal envelope. When the input signal envelope is low, the drain bias can be reduced so the amplifier operates closer to its optimal efficiency point. This presentation will provide an overview of Envelope Tracking simulation and analysis, including modeling non-ideal effects.

It is very confusing to watch this video as the laser pointer is not available at the dummy screen and he is explaining by pointing at the screen.
