I finally played Hades, and it's a masterpiece

Hey folks, welcome to Hades!

This is probably the most requested game I've ever gotten (besides Hollow Knight, that was on another level), and I'm super pumped to check it out! Will I defy Hades and escape Tartarus for good, or am I doomed to remain there forever?

I’m noticing that a lot of folks are upset that I didn’t pay more attention to the dialogue and tutorial hints, sorry everyone! I’ll make an effort to look over those more carefully next time. I suppose I just feel pressured to not leave any silent time when I’m streaming, so I rarely take the time to quietly look around and read any text on the screen.

The golden vases contain money. And if you die immediately, like in the first or second room, Hypnos and Zag have a fun bit of banter. (I told you that bc it looks like you're already so good at this game you could only die that quick on purpose.) Basically every possible choice(or mistake) you could make results in new dialogue. And, speaking of choice, to give important advice in the least spoilery way possible, you can say yes to everyone, no one will get mad.

I absolutely love when Therm finds himself in a sticky situation and says "well I guess we're just gonna beat this hitless" because as insane as it sounds it sometimes works

Him walking into Asphodel and standing on the lava was extra funny to me because the first time I made it to Asphodel I had baaaarely made it through the boss fight alive and as soon as I stood on the lava I fecking DIED.

Hades is the most well developed game I’ve ever seen. Literally everything about it is executed perfectly. Perfect story, characters, lore, gameplay, skill progression, variety of runs, art style, soundtrack, I could go on and on. It takes the simple genres of dungeon crawlers and rogue likes and combines them into a masterpiece that makes you want to keep playing run after run to progress your relationships with the amazing cast of characters and to try any of the virtually infinite combinations of builds that are possible.

Not sure if it's just me but 3rd boss on the 5th attempt!?! It took me so long to even get to Elysium to the point where I just grinded the Mirror and other permanent stat boosters.
